Directions to the College of Charleston
To the Campus by Car
From Interstate 26
One of the most common routes into Charleston is the major highway I-26.
Take I-26 East until it ends in Charleston.
At the end, stay in the right lane which puts you briefly on Hwy 17, and immediately exit right onto King Street.
Turn right on King and follow the directions "From King Street" below.
From Highway 17
If coming in to Charleston on Highway 17 (the Savannah Highway) take the King Street exit in downtown Charleston.
Turn right on King Street and follow the directions "From King Street" below.
From the Citadel Campus
Start out going Northeast on Moultrie Street toward Kenilworth Avenue for 0.5miles.
Turn right on King Street, continue to follow King for 1.2miles, and follow the directions below.
From King Street
Heading south on King Street, you will pass a tall church steeple on your right directly across from a park on your left.
Immediately after this, you will cross the intersection of Calhoun and King.
Turn right on Calhoun Street and continue till the next traffic light at the intersection of Calhoun and Coming.
You can park your car at the K-lot, on the north-west corner of Calhoun and Coming (to enter, turn right onto Coming and left into the parking lot).
It is free after 4PM on Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
By Plane
The Charleston Airport is located just north-west of Charleston.
There are shuttles there that will take you any local destination.
There are actually two shuttle options.
One $20 shuttle which will take you immediately and can be found inside the airport terminal, and a $10 shuttle that is found outside but takes longer since it must be shared with
other riders.
